When I was just a lad and times were bad I wondered

Why is it always so rough, so I asked

All of my teachers and preachers then answered

It won't get much better, stand up to the task

For we're born equal as the prequel to life

All in this dance get their chances the same

Don't try to ponder it, go on with it, stop moaning

Failures have only got themselves to blame
