The Fig Tree

From time to time I find myself reflecting on it all
Every stupid thing I've ever said, and wanted to become
I've changed my life's direction, one too many times
And I'm worried that I'll never end up truly satisfied

Every rock unturned
And page unread
Closes another door
And the fig tree keeps on teasing me, promising much more
I'll ask another question
How am I supposed to know
Just turn and take me where I'm meant to go

At least I know for sure
