Here it is again the voice that scares my thoughts away
Demands attention for itself itself alone
Seems so unthreatening but promises a bitter sting
So soon my heart and mind become the battlezone

Push aside all reason a sailor to the sirens call
Excuse reality for temporary lies
Sometimes I can't believe the things I'll try to justify
Only more lies again
