i've got to save up twelve hundred dollars in the next six months
and i don't want to
but if it'll take me away to the most golden of coasts
then i'll come through
this place is a part of me it's not that i don't love it here
cuz i do
but sometimes it's just nice to run
away from the truth

i've got to study these books they say will be good for me
but i don't want to
there's nothing these pages can tell that i won't see
straight through

it's just that these stories aren't real they're just facts
nothing new
and sometimes you just need to run
away from the truth

i've got to clean up the house tomorrow cuz i'm going nuts
but i don't want to
because if i do then that means i'll have to throw away
parts of you
it's not you it's me so cliche and burnt out and though
i wouldn't ask for a redo
