This place doesn′t know (look at me)
This place doesn't care
About the holy scriptures (I feel tender in the elsewhere)
Or how to pronounce
And live by the ecclesiastical (in the dark a sudden empathy)
This is a no-man′s land
This is a no-God's land (I am threatening to some)
Look at those trees again (like an empty body)
Look at the bark (must be explained)
Look at their height (but not explored)

Are they not darker than trees you know? (I am making room)
Are they not smaller? (for tenderness)
Listen to the wind (TMI baby, TMI baby)
And the rattling leaves. It's whispering a pagan psalm (Making room for lovers)
