Im in a parking lot by myself
its quarter till nine and i've been here since 5:45
oh theres no one but I can see some flickering lights
I can hear some dogs yeah barking in the back yards
and i smell gasoline
wish the sky were open, cause if there weren't those trees...
I think I could see for miles
the city is just beyond those clouds and i guess this is what its like to be really down and holding on for something
remembering these warm, warm nightsremembering these open arms of two years ago
oh theres something 'bout this barking lot and seeing the stars in morning
I can see them from where I'm lying and I'm down
I can feel the cold, cold pavement on my skin its tingling
