Building The Ark

Comque vidisset Deus terran esse corruptam omnis

quippe caro corruperat viam suam super terram

Fac tibi arcam de lignis levigatis mansiunculas

in arca facies et bitumine linies intrinsecus et extrinsecus

...corrupta est autem terra coram Deo...

Et ex cunctis animantibus universe carnis bina induces in arcam ut vivant tecum...

"Thy servants are we.

our lord who sits up high,

Thy rod and thy staff,

shall comfort and guide our hands"

Translation:

And God looks upon the earth, and, behold, it was

corruptl for all flesh

had corrupted his way upon the earth.

"Make Thee an ark of gopher wood;

rooms shalt thou make in the ark,

and shalt pitch it within and without with

pitch"

...The earth was corrupt before God.

"Of every living thing of all flesh,

two of evert sort shalt thou bring

into the ark

to keep them alive

with thee"
