Lyrics

Open your eyes, my friend

I ask you not to pretend

I know you're lonely and blue

No doubt I probably am too

Our time has come to end

So please don't try and pretend

Now come on, let's both walk away

We really have nothing to say

I was your one special friend

on whom you could always depend

But when you let me down

You treated me as your clown

But our time has come to end

So please don't try and pretend

Now come on, let's both walk away

We have nothing more to say

Feelings have fizzled and died

And God knows we both tried

Now come on, let's both walk away

We really have nothing to say
