Her Question

Someone left and angel in the snow

all alone

and in the night it froze

wondering what it was made of

and who to take care of

in the image of god

but with wings that

stayed on the ground

brittle and cracked

the the ice they were bound

she wondered where she was going

the cold kept on flowing

she's sitting there

waiting and praying

for the sound of a sound

that won't ever come.

in the image of god

but with wings that

stay on the ground

brittle and cracked to the ice they were bound

i feel i've been patient

i've thought till it hurt

i don't wanna believe

every angel that's made is a shell

that collapses with age

and nothing remains

so we grieve for the passing

of one more perfection

one less refelection

in the image of god

but with wings that

stayed on the ground

brittle and cracked

to the ice they were bound

how she wanted to fly

but she feared for the end

she feared for her life

fragile as it is

no greater sight

in sight

in sight
